A church chair is secondly a chair that is in compliance with any and all legal requirements that are in force in the particular jurisdiction where your church is located. We find that many churches are unaware that when a room reaches a specific number of people occupying it (you will have to contact your local officials to determine this limit for your area) rules can go into effect for your seating. For example, in some areas your chairs may be required to be "affixed" the floor. In other areas, the ability to effectively connect your chairs to each other may be non-negotiable. The fire-retardant requirements for the fabric and foam that make up a part your chairs may be stricter in some localities than others. The simple truth is that your chairs should be in compliance with those codes in force in your location. Please know again that this truth is not related to the appearance of your church chair. Instead it has everything to do with honoring authority.
The single most overlooked feature to consider when looking at buying office chair is the base. It is standard for these chairs to have casters or wheels. However some chairs come with only four spokes, or for legs with wheels; others with five, or six. It is important to get a chair that has more than four legs. With only four legs, depending on the orientation of the chair, it can be easy to tip out of the chair. Because of the head rest, someone sitting in the chair will be inclined to sit back and lean back in the chair. If the chair has only four legs, i.e. a base with four wheels, if they are leaning back between two of the legs, the chair could tip over backwards. (The taller back of an executive chair makes this more likely than with a smaller, standard office chair.) With five or more wheels, the chair becomes more stable. Of course, the other determining factor of the stability is the width of the base. Again, high-end executive chairs will have a wider base.
Fleshing this out further, let's say a company advertises free shipping on their church chairs once a certain quantity of chairs are purchased to select geographical regions of the country. One of their chairs they sell for essentially $33.00 each, once there are a minimum of 100 chairs, purchased as a part of the order and also include "free shipping" for those chairs to about 20 different states. In this case they may purchase those chairs from a Chinese factory for about $13.00 a chair. They bring them to this country, warehouse them, sell them, and then deliver them. Their costs for all of these items is perhaps another $13.00 or so per chair. They then sell them for $33.00 a chair and all of their costs are covered and they make a nice profit. All through the process though they continue to state they are offering "free shipping".
